YBQ1L5 Craft Ideas – Solomon’s Temple

Solomon’s Temple 3D craft from My Little House

I also made a version that saves paper and requires less cutting (and is also quicker to assemble if you’re short on time). Glue temple picture onto construction paper and have the kids glue on the pre-cut priests, bronze laver & Solomon, foam tape optional.

I made a version with a larger bedcovering so that Wisdom doesn’t cover it up when it’s glued on.

Memory Verse Practice Sheet

I made these practice sheets in a variety of line types (Handwriting Without Tears, Ruled, Primary Lines) to help you learn your memory verse. Each page has the memory verse and the three examples below. The first one is a fill-in-the-blanks activity meant to be done mentally, the second is to practice writing the memory verse and the third is the first letter of each word of the memory verse. King David had to have patience while he waited for God’s timing when he would become king of the whole country of Israel. Sometimes it’s hard to wait with a good attitude, but if David did it, so can we.

I asked my primaries to try to practice patience this week and to tell me how they did next Sabbath. When we got home from church, my little primary was being impatient (oops). She wanted me to help her pick out some clothes to change into and wanted me to come right now. Then… she stopped, said, “Wait, I’m supposed to be patient,” and immediately sat down and waited quietly for me to become available to help her (which thankfully wasn’t too much longer). What are some ways we can have patience in our lives? What are some ways you have showed patience?
